This is Monica Knott. She's the bassist/vocalist for Big Fake Heart Attack. She's an honest to goodness Opera Singer! Seriously, she's sung with that Pavarotti guy and stuff. Perhaps you've heard of him. He's supposed to be really big in opera circles. He even has a list of "dos and don'ts" for when you're working with him.
Being a real live opera singer means Monica has to work a lot of really, really schmultzy weddings. I've done jobber work for wedding bands before. It pays good but it eats away at your soul. I don't know if singing opera at weddings eats away at your soul half as much as playing the theme song to The Rose or Celebration, but it sure as hell can't be too good for you.
As mentioned before. It was Monica's basement that housed BFHA. In fact, it was the basement at Monica's old house that housed the fore runner of Big Fake Heart Attack, a little band called I Love My Shih' Tzu. Oh that band ended baddly. The less said about it the better. Our final album was recorded but never released and during the recording process I felt like we should have had a film crew there filming the sequel to Let It Be. I kid... I kid...
... except that I don't.
